Earth Voyager departing

Earth Voyager under the bridge

Time to move out of the way.

I don't think he likes lawn chairs.

Bird on a wire - He's watching too
These are just some pictures from the Port Huron to Mac sailing race a few years ago. These were taken at the departure point in Port Huron.
That huge trimaran holds all the speed records of the race to this day. It's 67' feet long, counting bow sprit, with a 97' mast and is built for speed, not comfort. The pictures don't do the size justice.
That water really is that blue, hence the name Bluewater Bridge. That where Lake Huron empties into the Huron river and begins its' travel into the lower Great Lakes.
There is no way to describe the feeling of "smallness" you get, if you ever pass close to one of these lake freighters. It's like being passed by a mountain.
As for the guy in the lounger, who says all rednecks are in the south?
And I just liked the bird on barbed wire for the contrast.
